2015 NFL SALARY CAP AND ADJUSTED TEAM POSITIONS

The 2015 NFL salary cap is confirmed at $143.28   million.

Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each club has the option to carry over unused cap space from the prior League Year. Below is every team’s adjusted salary cap position given its carryover amount and other adjustments from the 2014 season.

Through March 24, 2015, there were 153 total signings with $788,491,999 in guaranteed money and $1,802,821,620 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 97 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $644,104,999; total value: $1,413,501,620)
  • 56 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $144,387,000; total value: $389,320,000)

Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each club must average an 89% cash spend of the salary cap from 2013-2016.

The four teams which spent the least during the two-year period from 2013-2014 were the Oakland Raiders (80.16%), New York Jets (80.97%), Jacksonville Jaguars (82.24%) and New England Patriots (82.82%).

These four teams have spent the following in free agency thus far:

  • 30% of all guaranteed money
  • 27% of total contracts
  • 24% of first-year cash

These numbers only represent deals for which contracts were received and processed by the NFLPA by 2 p.m. ET on March 24, 2015.

 

 

Through March 17, 2015, there were 129 total signings with $772,837,000 in guaranteed money and $1,744,811,600 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 83 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $631,645,000; total value: $1,376,156,600)
  • 46 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $141,192,000; total value: $368,655,000)

These numbers only represent deals for which contracts were received and processed by the NFLPA by 4 p.m. ET on March 17, 2015.

 

Through the first 96 hours of free agency, there were 92 total signings with $612,247,000 in guaranteed money and $1,385,860,000 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 57 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $485,300,000; total value: $1,061,430,000)
  • 35 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $126,947,000; total value: $324,430,000)

These numbers only represent deals for which contracts were received and processed by the NFLPA by 4 p.m. ET on March 14, 2015.

 

Through the first 72 hours of 2015 Free Agency, there were 85 total signings with $589,797,000 in guaranteed money and $1,321,110,000 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 53 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $474,600,000; total value: $1,032,180,000)
  • 32 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $115,197,000; total value: $288,930,000)

These numbers only represent deals for which contracts were received and processed by the NFLPA by 4 p.m. ET on March 13, 2015.

 

Through the first 48 hours of Free Agency, there were 66 total signings with $477,463,000 in guaranteed money and $1,085,980,00 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 39 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $376,400,000; total value: $831,685,000)
  • 27 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $101,063,000; total value: $254,295,000)

These numbers only represent deals for which contracts were received and processed by the NFLPA by 4 p.m. ET on March 12, 2015.

 

Through the first 24 hours of 2015 Free Agency, there were 46 total signings with $375,975,000 in guaranteed money and $827,570,000 in total contract value.

This breaks down as:

  • 30 unrestricted free agents signing with new teams (guaranteed: $299,185,000; total value: $643,675,000)
  • 16 unrestricted free agents re-signing with current teams (guaranteed: $76,790,000; total value: $183,895,000)
