Rookie Premiere 2018 Recap 

overview of Rookie Premiere: 

  • Forty top rookies from the 2018 NFL Draft gathered in Los Angeles May 17-20 to learn the business of football and jumpstart their off-the-field careers at the 24th annual NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Rookie Premiere presented by Panini America.

  •  NFLPA Rookie Premiere is the first major business and marketing event following the NFL Draft, where players gain insights and make connections that will assist in the development of their personal brands and careers on and off the field. Participating players also went through a brief orientation which highlighted the union’s programs and services.

  • More than 30 NFLPA business partners engaged with the latest group of promising young stars and created content for seasonal campaigns, secured endorsement deals, promoted licensed products through group player rights and showcased goods and services. See full list below.

  • Hosted by the NFLPA via its marketing and licensing arm NFL Players Inc., the 2018 NFLPA Rookie Premiere featured long-awaited moments for the rookies such as the unveiling of their official Nike jerseys on Friday, followed by wearing their official Nike team uniforms for the first time during Saturday’s all-day photo shoot with the NFLPA’s exclusive trading card licensee, Panini America.

"Welcome aboard" presented by delta private jets

 The "Welcome Aboard" Event presented by Delta Private Jets was the opening ceremony on Thursday night that allowed players and partners to introduce themselves and network. Click here to view the photo gallery of the opening day of Rookie Premiere.

JERSEY REVEAL presented by nike 

The Nike Jersey Reveal showcases the players' jerseys for their upcoming season. The players are able to capture the moment of when they see their jerseys for the first time. Click here to view the photo gallery of the event. 


The Panini photo shoot captures the players in their jerseys on the field to be used for their upcoming Panini trading cards. Click here to view the photo gallery of the event. 

Panini 360 Degree camera shoot 

Players had a great time at the Panini photo shoot using the 360-degree camera. Check out some of the rookies social media accounts that feautured their favorite take. 



Special guest appearances at rookie premiere

This year's Rookie Premiere had a few guest appearances, including JuJu Smith-Schuster, Roy Purdy, Todd Gurley, Wale, Dytto and Ayo & Teo. In addition, a handful of former players arrived to Rookie Premiere to offer their advice to the rookies as they enter their first NFL season. JuJu was part of the NFLPA Rookie Premiere Class of 2017 and came back this year to offer advice to this year's class of rookies. Musical performers Roy Purdy and Ayo & Teo were at the Panini photo shoot to keep the rookies entertained as they took their pictures. Wale attended the Welcome Aboard event along with Todd Gurley, who was a part of the Rookie Premiere Class of 2015.
