WHO: Hosted by the NFL Players Association and its groundbreaking athlete-driven accelerator, OneTeam Collective, the third annual pitch competition provides an opportunity for early stage companies to share their businesses’ strategies to align more closely with sports and the professional athletes who play them.
WHAT: A select group of 10 innovative startups (listed below) will descend upon Atlanta to make their case to become the next portfolio company of the OneTeam Collective and potentially gain access to funding, mentorship and the NFLPA’s exclusive group licensing rights.
Each company will have six (6) minutes to pitch their innovative and game-changing technologies/products to the exclusive audience consisting of Athlete Advisory Board members Kelvin Beachum, Jr., Marques Colston, Mark Herzlich, Dhani Jones, Isaiah Kacyvenski, Ryan Mundy, Ryan Nece and Russell Okung; OneTeam Collective Board of Directors; investors; and executives from sports, entertainment and technology.
Presentations will be judged by a panel comprised of Malaika Underwood, VP, Licensing for Brandr Group and USA Baseball Women's National Team star; Eric Winston, former NFL player and NFLPA president; Teri Smith, NFLPA Deputy Managing Director and Special Counsel; Matthew Berry, ESPN Senior Fantasy Analyst, and Founder, Fantasy Life app; and Rouz Jazayeri co-founder and managing director of Catapult Ventures. The two winning pitches will claim various prize packages including combination of cash, player marketing investment, and consulting services from CSM LeadDog.
ESPN anchor Michele Steele will serve as event moderator. Additional event highlights include tech investor and co-founder of Premier Lacrosse League Paul Rabil in a featured conversation about entrepreneurship and investment, and a fireside chat with NFL player Glover Quin and USA Rugby star Kimber Rozier around tech, startups and financing from the athlete’s perspective.

ABOUT ONETEAM COLLECTIVE: The sports industry’s first athlete-driven business accelerator for innovative companies seeking to incorporate sports strategies to drive growth.
