Carlos Dunlap of the Cincinnati Bengals, Robert Quinn of the Los Angeles Rams, and Byron Maxwell of the Miami Dolphins supported their hometown of Charleston, SC by hosting their annual Low Country Football Weekend this past weekend.  The annual football camp was held at the three players’ alma mater Fort Dorchester High School on Saturday June 4th, preceded by a Fun Day on Friday June 3rd.

The camp’s Friday Fun Day, open to children of all ages, included bounce houses, face painting, food and a meet and greet with the NFL players.  The football camp on Saturday, open to 6 - 14 year-olds, taught campers football fundamentals and skills, but also had a larger focus.  Each offseason, Dunlap, Quinn and Maxwell put on this summer camp to fulfill their mission to give back to their community.

“Growing up, my parents always made sure I worked on all my crafts during the summer from sports with my father to education with my mother. It was important for me to give the opportunities I always had as a child to other children following in my footsteps.”

Carlos Dunlap, Jr.

The Low Country Football Weekend is more than just a football camp for Dunlap, Quinn and Maxwell.  It is an opportunity for them to enrich and support their community and the young men hoping to follow in their footsteps.
