Here’s a special edition of #MVPMonday highlighting some of our player members who showed a giving spirit during this holiday season! MALCOLM JENKINS
Philadelphia Eagles

Jenkins held his sixth annual Holiday Dinner Basket Surprise in two cities, providing 275 families in Philadelphia (Dec. 11) and New Orleans (Dec. 17) with baskets of turkey and all the trimmings for a holiday meal.

He, along with volunteers from the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation and Philadelphia Police Community Relations officers hand-delivered holiday dinner baskets to select families with children under 12, surprising 27 area families with 300 toys.

Finally, the Eagles player rep cut a check for $2,100 to cover the expenses for a Philadelphia AAU little league football team to travel to Florida for its national championship tournament this month.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Eric Berry Foundation held its annual toy drive to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. The Snowflake Shoppe allows parents to handpick their child’s favorite toy/giftcard/book for no cost while at the hospital. Berry then delivered the toys on Dec. 20 while visiting multiple young residents at the hospital.

Detroit Lions

Carey hosted a drone building and flying event at a local school where he regularly mentors students and promotes STEM initiatives.   

MICHAEL CRABTREE
Oakland Raiders

Crabtree and his fellow Raiders wide receivers supplied 45 kids from Jefferson Elementary in San Leandro with new bikes, helmets and locks.

San Diego Chargers

A day after speaking to a fifth-grade class at his old elementary school in Columbus, Ohio, Cumberland hosted his sixth annual toy giveaway event on Dec. 17 at Driving Recreation Center in Columbus with more than 300 kids in attendance.

Cushing held his second annual Operation Holiday Hope on Dec. 13 as he hosted eight families for dinner at The Palm and surprised families with a $500 shopping spree at Walmart.

Cincinnati Bengals

Dalton and his wife, Jordan, hosted 11 families for the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation’s Holiday Hearts program on Dec. 15. The evening included dinner, treatmaking, a Build-a-Bear station along with wish list gifts and Christmas tree for each family.

Denver Broncos

Ray had Broncos fans donate new or slightly used shoes in exchange for a signed shirt. He and his mom then dropped off the shoes for underprivileged children at the Denver Rescue Mission on Dec. 20.    

JULIUS THOMAS
Jacksonville Jaguars

Thomas held his second ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 13 for his latest reading nook featuring more than 900 books at the Episcopal Children’s Service Center.      

DAN WILLIAMS
Oakland Raiders

Williams sponsored 15 families from the East Oakland Boys & Girls Club for Christmas with gifts and a healthy holiday meal. After shopping with volunteers from his Filling the Gaps Foundation, Williams presented the gifts to the families on Dec. 20.     

ERIC WOOD
Buffalo Bills 

As part of his Operation Big Santa event, Wood and several of his teammates met children at Roswell Park Cancer Institute at Illio Dipaolo’s for dinner before heading out on a shopping spree at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Dec. 19.
